Greenthinker started as a nonprofit, but now it has evolved into a socially and environmentally conscious LLC that promotes reduced plastic living. Greenthinker Zero Waste Store  is offering refill soaps, detergents and other eco friendly products. We also make sure that our soaps are made with non-toxic ingredients.  Greenthinker started its roots in eco-activism in the greater Washington DC area.

Greenthinker  is located in Takoma Park, Maryland, only two blocks from the DC border. We are walking distance from the Takoma Metro stop.  We are located UPSTAIRS between two great restaurants Olive Lounge (Middle Eastern and American) and Muoi Tieu (Vietnamese).  Every Sunday Takoma Park has a farmers market located across the street from our store. Greenthinker is also walking distance from other award winning restaurants like Cielo Rojo (Mexican) and Takoma Beverage Company (American and coffee). Also walking distance from us are other great locally owned retail stores like Peoples Books, Tabletop, Laurel Leaf, and The Covered Market. 

The owner Rini Saha has years of experience in green business as she is one of the former owners of Fullfillery Zero Waste Store (closed April 2025). Greenthinker is now open in the same space as Fullfillery. Greenthinker will carry on many of the successes of Fullfillery which was a vital community resource for green living.  A part of the reason that there is a name change is we want to reflect an evolving business that will still have refillable soaps, but will also expand its eco products and retail offerings.
